About Gannon University

Gannon University is a private, Catholic institution of higher learning in Erie, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1925 as Cathedral College by John Mark Gannon, an Archbishop. It changed its name to Gannon College in 1944 and became a four-year college for men. It became coeducational in 1964 and founded a graduate school.

Work Study

Gannon University participates in the federally funded Federal Work Study program that allows students to work to pay for college-related expenses. The program is based on need and granted to students who meet specific qualifications. Both on and off-campus jobs are available. Students usually work between eight and 12 hours a week, with no more than 20 hours a week. The pay is at minimum wage or above. Pay, hours, and duties vary by employer.
