50 Most Affordable Bachelor’s Degrees in Health Informatics

Pursuing an affordable bachelor‘s in health informatics can help students pave the way for a rewarding career in the medical field. Determining which programs are the most appropriate, however, can be challenging.

We have compiled a list of the 50 most affordable bachelor’s degree options for health informatics and bioinformatics to help U.S. students make the right choices in the educational marketplace.

What Is Health Informatics?

Variously referred to as bioinformatics, health information technology or nursing informatics, the field of health informatics combines high-tech computing skills with a solid grasp of biology. Healthcare informatics jobs typically focus on the use of technology to manage records and to deliver the best possible care for patients in the medical environment.

Methodology

To create this list, we used data available from the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator tool to find all bachelor’s in informatics programs in the United States. A total of 75 programs were found.

Using the “tuition and fees” figure from College Navigator, our team then pared that list down to the 50 schools that offered the most affordable health informatics degree programs for students in the U.S.

Schools are listed from the highest tuition to the lowest. For students seeking an accredited health informatics degree, these programs offer a solid combination of low cost and top-quality credentials.
