The Health Information Technology program available at the Itawamba Community College is a two-year program. It prepares students for the exam required for the national certification of Registered Health Information Technician. Students take four semesters of classes that include prerequisites in Anatomy and Physiology.

In 2014, out of all of students who graduated and took the national board exams, 90 percent passed and claimed national certification. Of those, 100 percent were successful in achieving a placement.
