Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)

The program has a strong emphasis on mastery of leadership and management skills as practiced in various healthcare organizations. the Master of Healthcare Administration  program is designed to prepare students to:

  • collaborate with inter-professional teams
  • understand complex health systems
  • develop analytical skills
  • serve as effective health leaders

Students with limited healthcare management work experience can enroll in the full-time MHA program for the completion of 60 credits in 21 months. Those who are employed as executives or leading healthcare professionals can participate in the accelerated Executive MHA program part-time over the course of 25 months for 42 credits. Throughout the program, students are mentored by a senior-level preceptor. Students are introduced to the daily activities of a Twin Cities healthcare organization from the top management perspective to supplement classroom learning.

University of St. Thomas

Opus College of Business

The University of St. Thomas was Inspired by Catholic intellectual tradition since its foundation in 1885 by Archbishop John Ireland. It has an emphasis on values-based education and professional preparation. The University is a comprehensive private institution located in the center of the Minnesota capital of St. Paul. It enrolls more than 10,200 students. It’s currently ranked as the 112th best college in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. The Opus College of Business is consistently recognized as the top business graduate school for physician executives by Modern Healthcare magazine. It’s also nationally recognized for being home to the 61st best graduate healthcare management program in the United States.

Health Care Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Health Care Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is delivered via an innovative blend of on-campus and online distance learning. It connects students with experienced faculty and talented colleagues. The program is designed to develop influential, principled leaders. They will help shape positive quality outcomes for the healthcare system in Minnesota.

The 27-month program is comprised of 18 courses taken in two-course blocks for timely completion of the degree. Students gain a solid understanding of universal business principles and management tools to address the challenges of the healthcare field. It’s the only AACSB-accredited MBA program also accredited by the CAHME in the Upper Midwest. The program admits 25 to 30 students each year as cohorts to form strong personal and intellectual connections in the industry.
