Drexel is one of the largest private universities in the country. It was founded by Anthony J. Drexel who saw a need for higher education in areas that met the requirements of industry. Drexel University Application Requirements
Students who wish to attend Drexel University must complete an application along with required materials. These include official high school transcripts as well as official ACT or SAT scores. Some programs may also require references and a current resume. Students who wish to enter graduate programs must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. They must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. There is not a required undergraduate major to apply for the MBA program. Students must also provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended as well as two letters of recommendation. Also required are:
- a resume
- personal statement
- official GMAT scores
Students must have a GMAT score of at least 570. Students may apply for a GMAT waiver if:
- they have at least three years of professional management experience
- a consistent career progression
- or can demonstrate strong quantitative skills
Drexel University Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for Drexel University’s online programs varies depending on the degree program chosen. Tuition for the MBA program is $1,306 per credit hour. Special tuition rates are available for alumni, military members and members of Drexel partner organizations. But the rates only apply to new online students or those being readmitted. Students must contact applyDUonline@drexel.edu within the first two weeks of the term in order to qualify for the tuition reduction. Students cannot combine tuition reductions. If they qualify for more than one, they will be provided the tuition rate that provides the most savings.
Financial aid is available in the form of gift aid, such as grants and scholarships or aid that must be repaid, such as federal and private loans. Students may also qualify for work-study programs. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed to qualify for any financial assistance.
Drexel University also offers payment plans and acceptance of Employer Reimbursement as part of their financial aid programs.
