Great Falls College Montana State University was established in 1969 by the Montana State Legislature. In 1994, the school became ‘Montana State University College of Technology- Great Falls’. It became affiliated with the Montana State University system. In its current form, Great Falls College Montana State University offers students the opportunity to take part in one of many degree and certificate programs. With a focus on lifelong education, students can:

Health Information Technology A.A.S.

The health information technology degree has been offered in a fully online setting since 2002. The program is a technical one. It’s designed to provide students with the skills they need to  evaluate and organize health records in a professional setting. Students who want to enter this program will need to have satisfied basic requirements including courses in:

  • mathematics
  • laboratory sciences
  • writing

The online health information technology degree is designed to be completed on a full-time schedule. It will prepare successful candidates to sit the exam to become a National Registered Health Information Technologist. The intended learning outcomes for this course include technical skills in computer and software applications as well as a knowledge of medical terminology and processes.
