Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology
Available in traditional and online formats, Lincoln College’s Health Informatics program prepares students for career success. It instills the knowledge and technical skills necessary to work with computerized health information systems. Students develop skills in:

- problem solving
- technology
They also study:
- coding
- basic supervisory functions
- the process for designing and implementing computerized patient records systems
Data confidentiality and information system security is emphasized. To receive their Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology degrees, students are required to complete a total of 63 credits. This is comprised of:
- 36 credits in core curriculum coursework
- 27 credits in general education coursework
Associate degree graduates will be ready to take the national qualifying exam for certification as a certified coding associate or a registered health information technician. They will be qualified for entry-level health informatics positions in:
