The executive format is designed for working adults interested in advancing their career. Many of the coursework can be completed online within two to three years. Students must earn 54 credit hours of coursework with no internship.

The residential format is meant for full-time enrollment and no previous healthcare experience is required. On-campus classes totaling 62 credit hours and an internship are required for graduation.

All disciplines incorporate the training necessary to impact the healthcare industry. Learning outcomes include: concept application, human resources managerial skills, strategic planning, finance, marketing, decision-making and information systems.

Arnold School of Public Health/Department of Health Administration

Master of Health Administration (MHA)

The graduate degree program in Health Administration is intended for both full-time students and part-time working professionals. Late afternoon and evening classes provide flexible course schedules for easier work/school balance. Requirements of the program include 58 credit hours of management training, finance, information technology, accounting, leadership skills, program evaluation and strategic planning for the healthcare industry.

This fully accredited program provides the skills needed for a successful career in administration leadership and/or management positions in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, health insurers and other health-related services. Entry-level managerial jobs will be available to graduates with no previous work experience in health services. For those graduates with experience in the field, the MHA degree will facilitate career advancement.
